Systems Analysis
Solving Mysteries
Not
every mystery has a one dimensional answer. Most systems tools like the
SuperVisor's Cross Reference or IBM's Operations Navigator, while
excellent products and useful for understanding many aspects of a
system, are unable to answer open ended questions. Questions like, "How
did that happen?", or "Why is that this way?", may represent a
convergence of several seemingly unrelated factors. Solving these
"mysteries" sometimes requires a tailored analysis. SuperVisor's Systems
Analysis Tool Set provides this capability.
Empowering the Analyst
SuperVisor's Systems Analysis empowers analysts by enabling them to
create their own comprehensive and targeted solutions by providing the
following capabilities:
- The ability to extract information about any and all aspects of
the the system, and any and all objects stored on the system.
- The ability to apply user-defined logic to any analysis.
- The ability to span several operating environments, computers or
LPAR's.
- The ability to perform recursive or nested analyses, which
entails using the results from one step in an analysis to drive
another.
- The ability to aggregate, filter, summarize and manually
manipulate results at any step.
